The 2G or 3G plus 4G extended Small Cell is a small-scale, distributed, low-power cellular small base station that accesses the core network through IPRAN/PON to provide FDD-LTE or FDD-LTE+WCDMA cellular mobile communication services to users. The continuous coverage of small and medium-size indoors enables end-to-end monitoring and is a new type of digital DAS (distribute antenna system).
The Location of the Small Cell in NetworkThe extended small cell can directly connect to the core network through IPRAN. If the small cell gateway is used, the non-dedicated IP network such as PON can be transmitted back, and the flexibility of backhaul is greatly increased. 4G Extensive Small Cell2G / 3G / 4G distributed small base stations only have 4G LTE access to the core network through network cables or optical fibers. 2G / 3G uses an optical fiber repeater architecture. The base station directly feeds 2G / 3G signals from 2G.3G Macro BTS. The RU is for the target coverage. The access unit integrates the 4G BBU and the Fiber DAS Main Unit. The radio frequency digital signal is remoted through the optical cable. The EU is used for signal distribution and concentration. The RU accesses the DAS / IBS system for the cellular signal coverage.
